Conducted Trainings 2026 - 2027

Dr. Tariq Rehman, Dy. Director (QFA), QEC conducted a training session on “First Aid & Fire Fighting” on 1^st October, 2026 for staff members. The session covered essential topics including fire-fighting fundamentals, first aid essentials, and common workplace medical emergencies. Participants gained practical knowledge and awareness of essential safety measures, emergency response techniques and first-aid practices for effectively managing workplace emergencies

A two-day training programme titled “Outcome-Based Education System (CPE, Course File, Internship, FYDP, Community Service, and PEV Rubrics Specific Items)” was organized for faculty members and OBE Coordinators on 16^th and 18^th September, 2026. The sessions were conducted by Prof. Dr. Abdul Jabbar Sangi, Chairperson of the Department of Civil Engineering and Prof. Dr. Imran Aslam, Chairperson, Department of Telecommunications Engineering. The training covered an overview of the NED OBE Manual, PEC guidelines on Outcome-Based Accreditation (OBA), the role of Programme Evaluators (PEVs), and strategies for achieving effective PEV rubric scores. Participants also explored OBE-aligned teaching and assessments, CPE/CEA requirements, course file preparation, FYDP monitoring and assessment, and community service.

A training session on “Use of Modern IT Tools: AI Drafting” was organized on 8^th September, 2026 for staff members of various departments. The session was conducted by Mr. Amjad Ali, Sr. IT Manager, Registrar Office who introduced participants to the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in drafting university documentation. The session aimed to enhance participants’ digital skills and enable them to effectively utilize modern AI tools for accurate, efficient, and professional documentation.

Dr. Tariq Rehman, Dy. Director-QFA, QEC conducted a training programme on “Health, Safety and Environmental Management System at NEDUET” on 4^th September, 2026. The training provided participants with an overview of the HSE Management System structure and principles, including ISO 45001 and the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) framework. Key areas covered included HSE policies, roles and departmental responsibilities, risk assessment and control measures, monitoring and auditing, and continual improvement practices. The session was attended by the Auditors and HSE Committee Members of various departments

Training programme on “Faculty Handbook” was organized on 19^th August, 2026 for faculty members. The session was conducted by Dr. Tariq Rehman, Dy. Director-QFA, QEC, who provided participants with a comprehensive overview of the Faculty Handbook and its key provisions. The training aimed to familiarize faculty members with institutional procedures, responsibilities, available facilities, and relevant policies.

An awareness session on the Benevolent Fund for University Employees was organized on 13^th July, 2026 to enhance employees’ understanding of the benefits, procedures and applicable regulations of the University Employees Benevolent Fund. The session was conducted by Dr. Muhammad Aslam Bhutto, Associate Professor, Civil Engineering-TIEST and Ms. Sadaf Wajahat, Deputy Director of Finance (Funds). The trainers provided detailed insights into the University Employees Benevolent Fund Statutes and Regulations, along with an overview of the available and newly developed forms and their processing procedures. The session was attended by Chairpersons, Head of the departments, Area Coordinators and officers of Medical Department and Directorate of Finance.
