Training programme on “Quality Management System: An in-depth training” was conducted by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Wasif,Director QEC on 10th and 11th December, 2025. Training was aimed to Understand and need of Quality Management System, International Standard: ISO 9001:2015, Quality Management System at NEDUET, Internal Quality Circle/Board of Review(University-Level), Quality System Procedures (QSPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Records and Templates, Internal Quality Audits, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI). The sessions were arranged for the Chairpersons, Head of the departments and Area Coordinators.

Dr. Faaz Ahmed Butt, Dy. Director-I, QEC conducted a training programme on “Developments of SAR as per HEC-PREE guidelines”, for the Program Team members (PTs) for 25 Undergraduate, Masters and PhD programmes. Training comprised of detailed overview of the Standards for SAR Development based on PREE. Training session was held on 9th December, 2025.

Dr. Syed Ali Ammar Taqvi conducted a training programme on “How to Write a Review Research Paper”, held on 2nd December,2025. This training was arranged to enhance research writing skills through focused session on structuring, analyzing, and synthesizing scientific literature. To learn how to critically evaluate research, identify gaps, and develop impactful review papers suitable for publication in reputed journals. Training was attended by Research Associates, Scientific, Technical writers, PhD Scholars and early career PhD Faculty members of various departments.

Dr. John Arthur, Director, J. Arthur Consult, Scotland conducted a training session on “Strategic Discussion: Advancing Youth Professional Development at NED” - A dialogue to explore the development of a long-term professional development programme aligned with government expectations, while assessing NED’s capacity and interest in integrating youth professional growth within the university’s strategic framework Session was held on 10 th November, 2025 and it was attended by senior faculty members.

Dr. Muhammad Samiuddin, Dy. Director-III, QEC conducted a training programme on “Applying Generative AI tools at workplace” on 29 th October, 2025. This training program was intended to familiarize office staff with the practical applications of Generative AI in dministrative work. Participants gained insights into how AI can be effectively utilized for drafting official correspondence, preparing reports, developing presentations, managing emails, and summarizing data. The session emphasized efficiency, accuracy, and best practices, equipping staff with essential skills to enhance productivity in routine office operations. A training programme on “HEC cascade program: an Internationalization approach in higher education academia Assessment and evaluation in higher education” was arranged for the newly appointed faculty members on 22nd October, 2025. This training provided, Internationalization approach in Higher Education academia, Positioning Pakistan on the Global Academic Map: The Power of Internationalization, Why Internationalization?, What is 21st Century Internationalization? Core Strategies, The Enabling Environment, Call to Action, Assessment and evaluation in Higher Education, Core Objectives and Strategic Planning, Pre and Post Examinations Activities, Grading System and Merit Position, Duties of Invigilators and Examiners, Scrutiny of Results, Digital Tools for Assessment and Evaluation. Training sessions were conducted by Prof. Dr. Syed Amir Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of MME and Syed Rafiq ul Hoda, Additional Controller of Examinations.

Dr. Ali Zulqarnain, Director, DIL has conducted a training session on “NED Placement Office and Employment Support Programme”, held on 15th October, 2025. This training introduces participants to the role and functions of the NED Placement Office and its Employment Support Programme. It highlights career development services, employer engagement initiatives, and strategies to enhance students’ employability. The training focuses on effective placement practices, industry linkages, and support mechanisms that prepare graduates for successful entry into the job market. The session was attended by the faculty members of various departments. .

A training programme on “Effective Communication Skills for Innovative Environment” was arranged for the Officers, PAs and Office Staff on 2nd October, 2025. This training on Effective Communication Skills is tailored for academic professionals and staff. It focuses on enhancing both written and verbal communication within academic settings. Participants will learn techniques to communicate ideas clearly and professionally. The program also emphasizes effective email writing, ensuring clarity, tone, and purpose. It also covers academic correspondence, meeting communication, and presentation skills. By the end, attendees will be equipped to communicate with confidence and precision. Session was conducted by Ms. Maheen Tufail, Lecturer, Department of English Linguistics & Allied Studies.

Prof. Dr. Sajida Zaki, Chairperson, Department of English Linguistics and Allied Studies conducted a training session on “Pedagogical Innovation and Active Learning” on 1st October, 2025. This training focuses on modern teaching strategies that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. It introduces innovative pedagogical approaches and active learning techniques designed to foster critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity in the classroom. Mr. Farhan Ahmed, IT Manager, IT Department conducted a training session on “Fundamentals of Safe and Secure IT Practices” on 16 th September, 2025. This training provides participants with the essential knowledge and skills to protect digital assets and ensure secure IT usage. It covers key areas such as safe internet practices, password management, data protection, email security, and identifying cyber threats. Training Programme on “Managing Stock Registers and Impress Accounts” was arranged for the PAs, Office Staff and Store Keepers on 4th September, 2025. This training program is designed to equip participants with the essential skills for effectively maintaining stock registers and managing imprest accounts. It covers practical methods for accurate stock record- keeping, monitoring stock movements and controlling expenditures. The training emphasizes best practices, compliance requirements, and efficient documentation to support smooth organizational operations. The session was conducted by Syed Muhammad Hasan Shamsie, Resident Officer, NED University of Engineering & Technology.

Dr. Tariq Rehman, (Dy. Director-II, QEC) and Dr.Muhammad Samiuddin, (Dy. Director-III, QEC) conducted a training on “Health, Safety and Environment Management” for Officers and Staff of various departments.
