Self-Review of Master & PhD Programs 2023

The Self-Review Visit of Masters and PhD Pro grammes was carried out on May 2-3, 2023 at NED University. The Review Panel (RP) was comprised of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tufail (Pro-Vice Chancel lor) as Convener, Engr. Prof. Dr. Johar Khurshid Farooqi (Director QEC, DHA SUFFA University) as Co-convener. Auditee team comprised of Dr. Muhammad Wasif (Director QEC), Dr. Faaz Ahmed Butt (Dy. Director-I, QEC), Mr. Shahid Safi (Dy. Registrar Statistics) and Mr. Iftikhar Ahmed (Deputy Registrar, Training). Auditing teams include Prof. Dr. Abdul Jabbar Sangi (Acting Chairman, Department of Civil Engineering), Prof. Dr. Mubassir Ali Siddiqui (Chairman, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Secretary AS&RB), Prof. Dr. Ali Dad Chandio (Chairman, Department of Metallurgical Engineering), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mubashir Khan (Chairman, Computer Science & Information Technology), Dr. Tariq Jamil (Assistant Professor and Deputy Secretary AS&RB, Department of Mechanical Engineering), Dr. Maria Waqas (Deputy Director-II, QEC), Dr. Tariq Rehman (Deputy Director-III, QEC), Mr. Irfan Ali (Deputy Registrar, Academic) and Mr. Rao Ubaid Ullah Munir (Computer system Operator, QEC).

The honorable Vice Chancellor met the evaluation team and briefly explained different projects that are ongoing in the university to uplift the standard of education in the University which was followed by briefing of Dr. Muhammad Wasif (Director QEC) on the endeavors of QEC to uplift the quality of education at postgraduate level. Dr. Faaz Ahmed (Dy. Di rector QEC-I) gave the presentation and explained the status of NOC of Masters and PhD Programmes in detail.

The Review Panels evaluated the available data/ documents. Interactive sessions were also held with M. Engg/ MS/ MEM/ PhD students and Super visors/ Faculty members; followed by visits of laboratories, libraries and classrooms of various departments.

Dr. Farooqui appreciated the efforts of the Quality Enhancement Cell of NED University towards assurance of quality education. Finally, the Review Panels had an exit meeting with the Vice Chancellor Dr. Sarosh H. Lodi and communicated in brief about their observations and recommendations. The Vice Chancellor thanked and appreciated the panel’s efforts in helping the University towards quality improvement.
